Our mission is to become the leading place to find and book a safe and trusted spiritual retreat. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength, and kindness.

We have two products: a consumer facing marketplace (AirBnb for spiritual retreats) and a SaaS product for businesses who offer retreats. We are currently working on bringing these two products closer, creating a symbiotic relationship resulting in more people going on retreat.

The Role in a nutshell:

As Head of Data, you will inspire our team to ask better questions and find better answers so that we can optimize and pull the desired levers of our business. You get to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, marketing & finance leaders to set strategy, and drive bottom-line business impact. As Head of Data, you will:

• Dive deep, build frameworks to understand our data and optimize our business.
• Model curiosity, vulnerability and self-honesty while using data to help us steer our ship, align with our strategic plan, medium-term OKRs and drive short-term execution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement strategy and make refinements company-wide as we scale.
• Model and guide us to ask even better questions using a combination of both qualitative and quantitative information.
• Grow from the ground up an excellent team with clarity, process and agreements within the context of an empowered, wise and discerning Guruvians.

You have:

• 7+ years of experience in experimentation, business analysis, analytics platforms and/or user research.
• Fantastic stakeholder management skills, working across teams (founders, product, marketing, customer success, and finance)
• Strong communication skills to allow stakeholders to make sense of data and are able to translate highly technical analyses to non-technical audiences.
• Have extensive tech startup experience with the skill and grace to run with minimum guidance from our Founder Team
• Demonstrated knowledge in all elements of a data & analytics setup (web analytics, ETL/ELT, Databases, Data Visualization)
