About The Role:
Retreat Guru is looking for a self-directed and experienced Finance Director with excellent communication skills to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will help us scale our business by leading all finance efforts and proactively working with leadership and our finance team to meet and surpass our goals. Comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a leadership role, your role will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. As a seasoned finance professional, you will understand current accounting practices, trends and have experience adapting to change.
Job Description: Roles & Responsibilities
- Own the financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes, with a focus on growth and healthy finances that align with the company’s vision, values and strategy
- Monitor cash flow and identify actual vs. forecast variances
- Provide financial reporting to the leadership team so they can well-informed decisions
- Collaborate with functional leaders to identify key business trends as well as highlight risk and opportunities for our business
- Advise on strategic decisions in key business areas, such as pricing, capital raise, payment policies, compensation strategy, and new product line or market opportunities
- Facilitate day-to-day finance operations such as supporting finance team members with the payment business, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping as needed to ensure a timely and complete monthly close process
- Manage investor relations, ensuring clear and consistent communication about the company’s financial performance. Manage cap table and stock options
- Apply for and manage loans and grant programs
- Oversee year end tax filings and R&D programs
- Review legal documents and contracts
- Partner with the sales team to establish sales plans, quotas, commission plans and ensure timely and accurate payments of commissions
